Meet Matt Laz
Facility Director and Head Coach
Matt brings a lifetime of racquet sports expertise and a deep passion for player development. He grew up on the tennis courts of Houston, competed at the Texas 5A State Championship, and became a USPTA certified tennis instructor before discovering pickleball in 2009. He combined his tennis background with pickleball strategy to become one of the first IPTPA certified teaching professionals in Texas and the first Texan ever sponsored by Paddletek. Now considered a master teaching professional, Matt has won 15 Gold Medals in the 5.0 Division including 3 Mid-South Regional Championships. As Facility Director at RGV Pickle, Matt is dedicated to delivering an exceptional, high-energy court experience for players of every level.
